Participation of the delegation of Turkmenistan in the arrangements in honor of the 290th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy

These days the Turkmen delegation takes part in the activities devoted to the 290th Anniversary of Magtymguly organized by the international organization TURKSOY in Ankara.              

This organization declared the year of 2014 as "The Year of Magtymguly". The opening ceremony of the year was held on the 5th of February, 2014 in Ankara.

Within the framework of the arrangements in the Turkish capital the Turkmen delegation took part in the wreath laying ceremony to the monument of Magtymguly in "Turkmenistan" park, participated in the workshop at the Ankara Art and Sculpture Museum, participated in the fair of the books of President of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen literature as well as the collections of Magtymguly in Turkish language and at the concert of the State music ensemble of Turkic culture of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey.

During the whole year it is planned together with TURKSOY to organize different cultural arrangements dedicated to Magtymguly in Turkic-speaking countries and the closing ceremony of the anniversary year is scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in December this year.
