The tournament defining the composition of national team for participation in international competitions was held at Ashgabat Indoor Cycle Track

The best racers in four disciplines of track competitions, which are 200m scratch race, sprint, 4 km individual pursuit and elimination race. 

Master of Sports Akmyrat Hojagulliyev from Mary was the first in 200 m race, having finished for 12.41 seconds. The second and third places was won by representatives of National technical centre of cycling Rovshen Amangeldiyev (12.62 seconds) and Shatlyk Geldiyev (12.66 seconds). 

A. Hojaguliyev made another victory in individual pursuit; he finished 4 km in 5 minutes 11.04 seconds. Student of National Institute of Sport and Tourism Iner Jumayev yielded him more than four seconds. Sh. Geldiyev was the third of the best with 5:18.08 minutes. 

I. Jumayev managed to take over A. Hojaguliyev in sprint race. In this discipline, the competitors have three circles to define the winner but without time scoring. The third and forth places was shared between Hangeldy Kyyasov and Rovshen Amangeldiyev from Ashgabat. 

Yhlas Ovezmyradov, the student of national Institute of Sport and Tourism showed the best spped and tactical skills in elimination race. R. Amangeldiyev and A. Hojaguliyev took the silver and bronze accordingly. 

Turkmen Men National Team makes trainings at “Ashgabat” multifunctional sport complex under the coaching of Albert Kolybin from Russia. The famous coach trains our sportsmen for participation in the V Asian Indoor and Martial Games for several months already. 

Now, the national team will have to compete in Asian cycle racing championships in track and highway races. The first competition will be held in New Delhi, the capital of India on February 6 – 10, 2017, and the second one in Bahrain on February 24 – March 3. The final composition of Turkmenistan national team for participation in 2017 Asian Games will be defined by the results of these championships.
