On the 14th of July, 2017 in the Georgian National Academy of Sciences (GNAS), the Embassy of Turkmenistan held an international conference dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Georgia.
Heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Georgia, representatives of the ministries and agencies of Georgia, as well as representatives of GNAS and media have participated in the work of the conference.
President of GNAS, academician G.Kvesitadze, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia D.Jalagania, Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Counselor of the Embassy of Republic Kazakhstan in Georgia, Vice-President of GNAS, academician R.Metreveli and Executive Director of Media Holding “Akhali Sakartvelo” B.Nachkebia were delivered their speeches.
During the speeches, it was noted that relations between Turkmenistan and Georgia, based on the principles of friendship, mutual respect and trust, have reached a qualitatively new level.
The speakers emphasized the special role of the leaders of the two countries in strengthening and deepening relations between two countries. They also underlined that humanitarian cooperation, extension relations between business circles, cultural figures, enhancing partnership in the fields of science, health, education, sports and tourism is the essential part of our relations.
At the end of the conference, the video on V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games was demonstrated.
In the evening of the same day in the Georgian National Museum there was a reception organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.
