Meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic

On December 12, 2017 in Ashgabat, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan received a delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister Dinara Kemelova, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to attend the events on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality.

During the meeting, the sides, noting the importance of expanding the political dialogue, discussed a number of issues affecting various areas of bilateral cooperation. The sides expressed the need to further strengthen the political dialogue at the highest level, to develop cooperation through diplomatic agencies and international organizations.

It was also stressed that there is sufficient potential and prospects for effective Turkmen-Kyrgyz cooperation in the fuel-energy and transport sectors. The parties noted the mutual interest in expanding inter-parliamentary ties. They expressed confidence that the meetings held on a regular basis would contribute to the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas between Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

The participants of the meeting noted the role of cultural-humanitarian cooperation and made a number of proposals for their further development through joint activities.
