On April 22, 2019, the delegation headed by the State Minister of Turkmenistan – the Chairman of “Turkmengas” State Concern went on a working visit to Saudi Arabia.
The Turkmen delegation met with the Minister of Energy, industry and mineral resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh.
As is known, one of the directions of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy is energy diplomacy. In 2008 and 2013, at the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan, the UN General Assembly adopted Resolutions named “Reliable and Sustainable Transit of Energy Means and its Role in Sustainable Development and International Cooperation”. These documents, the project of the international gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) had become an important step in the implementation of the energy strategy of Turkmenistan.
