During the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation, the ceremony of awarding President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the state award of the Russian Federation - the Order of Friendship was held in the Malachite Foyer of the Grand Kremlin Palace.
In accordance with the Decree of President Vladimir Putin, the head of Turkmenistan was awarded this high award for his great contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Voicing this decision, the Russian leader emphasized the merits of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the development of friendly, truly close partnerships between states. President Vladimir Putin noted that the head of Turkmenistan, before being elected to this post, while working in various government positions, personally participated in the preparation and implementation of a number of joint initiatives and important agreements.
As the head of Russia said, being a co-chairman of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, Serdar Berdimuhamedov was actively involved in practical issues of promoting bilateral trade and economic ties. Congratulating the head of Turkmenistan on this award, the Russian leader wished him further success in his activities at the highest state post for the benefit of sustainable and stable development of the country, ensuring the well-being of its citizens.
In a solemn atmosphere, to the applause of those present, President Vladimir Putin awarded President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the Order of Friendship.
Addressing the Russian leader, the head of Turkmenistan noted that it is a great honor for him to be honored this high award, which he perceives as a sign of respect for our country.
Relying on a solid foundation of friendship, good neighborliness, deep historical ties, Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation are consistently strengthening interstate dialogue, confidently building joint plans and cooperation programs in the economy, energy, transport, industry, agriculture and many other areas. Our countries see clear goals in their relations and are ready to achieve them. For this we have every opportunity.
“Let this high award become another symbol of the inviolability of the strategic Turkmen-Russian partnership, friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation of our peoples and states,” the head of Turkmenistan emphasized at the end of his thankful speech.
