On August 21, 2025, the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the 15th century Mausoleum of the Turkmen Emirs of Garagoyunly which is located in the village of Argavand in the Ararat region.
The event was attended by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Zh.Andreasyan, employees of the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia M.Ayazov and employees of the Embassy.
The President of Armenia V. Khachaturyan was introduced to the historical values of the mausoleum, and was also informed about the stages and features of the restoration work carried out at this location.
In turn, Ambassador M.Ayazov noted that cultural and humanitarian cooperation is one of the important areas of bilateral Turkmen-Armenian relations.
