The delegation of Turkmenistan participated in the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference

On October 6, 2025, the delegation of Turkmenistan to the OSCE made an address at the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference , organized by Finland and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

In his speech, the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the OSCE Hemra Amannazarov reaffirmed the strong commitment of Turkmenistan to cooperation with the OSCE and its institutions.

The achievements of Turkmenistan in human rights protection, humanitarian policy, and social integration were noted, as well as the country’s commitment to the principles of humanism, equality, and international cooperation emphasized.

For example, in connection with the 34th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, on September 26, 2025, by decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, 225 convicts were pardoned, which underlines the human nature of Turkmenistan’s judicial policy.

By another resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, 142 foreign citizens from seven countries representing fifteen nationalities were granted residence permits.

In 2024, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) officially confirmed that Turkmenistan had successfully resolved all known cases of statelessness on its territory, thereby fulfilling its obligations under the UN’s global #IBelong (#IBelong) campaign. Turkmenistan thus became a global leader in eliminating statelessness, further demonstrating the country’s commitment to upholding international humanitarian standards.

During the speech, it was also noted that at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Turkmenistan initiated the declaration of the International Day of Multilingual Diplomacy, reflecting the commitment of Turkmenistan to intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect for cultural and language diversity.

Turkmenistan confirms its readiness to continue close and constructive cooperation with the OSCE, ODIHR and other international institutions in order to promote democratic values, human rights and the rule of law.
