

On October 16, 2025, within the framework of the “International Year of Peace and Trust”, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek hosted a conference titled “Magtymguly – The Sage of the World and the Significance of His Philosophy in the Modern Era.”
The event was attended by the leadership and representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Relations with Compatriots Abroad of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Union of Writers, the Republican Turkmen Cultural Center, the International Institute of Central Asia, as well as researchers of Magtymguly’s works, professors, lecturers, and students of higher educational institutions.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh. Meredov, emphasized that the views of Magtymguly Fragi on peace form the foundation of Turkmenistan’s current foreign policy principles, which are comprehensively reflected in the book “Magtymguly – the Sage of the World” by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan.
During the conference, speakers noted that Magtymguly Fragi’s creative legacy has made a great contribution to world literature, and that the works of the poet, which encompass such great human values as peace, unity, and humanism, have become a source of exemplary and wise notions in modern times. Furthermore, the participants underlined that Magtymguly Fragi’s literary heritage plays a special role in strengthening the relations of friendship, brotherhood, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the peoples of two countries.
