On November 14-18, 2025, a Turkmen delegation led by Pygy Bayramdurdyev, Rector of the International horse breeding academy named after Aba Annayev, paid a working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the visit, the Turkmen delegation held meetings with the President of the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Head of the State Border Service, Colonel General Elchin Guliyev, and the director of the Sea Breeze Circus, Allahverdi Israfilov.
During the meetings, issues of strengthening bilateral cultural ties in the field of equestrian sports and national equestrian games, exchanging experiences, further developing existing cooperation, and familiarizing the two countries with the infrastructure created in this area in Azerbaijan were discussed.
At the same time, visits were made to the "Bina" and "Serhetchi" equestrian complexes in Azerbaijan to become familiar with the conditions created there and the work being carried out to develop national traditions of horsemanship and equestrian sports in Azerbaijan, as well as with the horses kept there, especially the Karabakh horses.
Also during the visit, the Azerbaijani side initially announced its readiness to organize performances of the national equestrian group "Galkynysh" in Baku in March 2026.
