

On January 28, 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People’s Republic of China hosted an event to mark the designation of 2026 as the Year of “Independent permanently neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful heavenly horses,” and to celebrate the publication of President Serdar Berdimuhamedow’s book «Neutrality of Turkmenistan – a bright way of peace and trust», released in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality.
The event was attended by diplomats of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, the Secretary General of the Horse Breeding Association of the People's Republic of China, representatives of the Turkmen-Chinese Cultural Center, chief editors and journalists from Psearcher and Lookwe magazines, professors from Beijing universities, and Turkmen students studying there.
At the event, the opening remarks were delivered by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the People’s Republic of China, Parahat Durdyyev. In his address, the Ambassador informed participants about the proclamation of 2026 as the Year of “Independent permanently neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful heavenly horses,” and also presented the main content and significance of the book by the esteemed President of Turkmenistan, “Neutrality of Turkmenistan – a bright way of peace and trust.”
In the speeches delivered by the participants of the event, it was noted that the new book of the President of Turkmenistan has significant scientific, political, and practical value, as it comprehensively reveals the historical foundations of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, its place within the system of international law, and its role in contemporary global politics.
Chinese partners, in their remarks, highlighted the high level and dynamic development of Turkmen-Chinese relations, as well as the significant achievements of Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Within the framework of the event, Wei Huakai, a specialist from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Inner Mongolia University in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology, was ceremonially awarded a corresponding certificate confirming his admission to the International Association of Alabays.
