The 52nd session of the Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) of the of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation

On 31 January-2 February 2026 the delegation of Turkmenistan participated to the 52nd session of the Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the third and most important preparatory stage ahead of the upcoming Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) meeting in Baghdad, 11-12 April 2026.

During the session, Turkmen side has submitted the draft of resolution entitled «Тhе role of а policy of neutrality in maintaining and strengthening international peace, security and sustainable development in the OIC area and globally» for subsequent adoption on 52th session of CFM OIC.

Along with this the participants drafted strategic decisions in the political, legal, information, and humanitarian fields and finalized the program of work for foreign ministers in preparation for its adoption.
