A solemn event was held at Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev dedicated to the motto of 2026: «Independent Neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful heavenly horses».
The event was attended by the Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan), university leaders and faculty, as well as students from Turkmenistan studying in Astrakhan.
In his speech, the Consul of Turkmenistan outlined two key factors for successful cooperation: a respectful attitude toward folk traditions and the creative energy of youth. He emphasized the importance of preserving national roots, along with receiving a quality education, which contributes to the strengthening of friendly ties between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
In accordance with the resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Akhal-Teke horse has been officially proclaimed the motto of this year. It is a national treasure and a symbol of the people's historical pride, reflecting the country's modern development vector, its sovereignty, and its rapid pace of creative progress.
The meeting concluded with a rich cultural program, which featured creative performances highlighting the richness of national music and dance. Students recited works dedicated to their homeland and the "heavenly horses", and a thematic exhibition offered examples of decorative and applied arts.
In addition, that day, the Çonsul met with Turkmen students studying at the university. The conversation was held in a spirit of mentorship and patriotism.
