

On February 17, 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia hosted a briefing for Georgian media representatives dedicated to the motto of 2026: “Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan – homeland of purposeful heavenly horses”.
The briefing was attended by journalists from the First Channel “1TV," the “Obieqtivi” TV channel, the business publication “The Georgian Business Week”, the “Europe 24” media holding, the “Georgia Press” organization, the “News Day Georgia” news agency, the “Geoecohub” online publication, newspapers such as “Resonans”, “Multinational Georgia”, “Free Georgia”, “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, “Vecherni Tbilisi” and “Vrastan” as well as representatives from the Georgian analytical center “Geocase”.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia D.Seyitmammedov, noted that the 2026 motto reflects national development directions, the unity of the people and the role of Ahal-Teke horses as a symbol of Turkmenistan’s pursuit of progress and high achievements.
During the briefing, participants were presented with the book by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, titled “Neutrality of Turkmenistan – A Bright Path of Peace and Trust”.
The Ambassador also addressed the topic of Turkmen-Georgian cooperation. He emphasized that the active development of high-level visits provides additional momentum to bilateral relations, opening new opportunities for consistent and long-term partnership.
Editor-in-Chief of “The Georgian Business Week” V.Miroshnichenko, presented a special issue of the magazine dedicated to Turkmenistan. He noted that this edition provides a wide readership with the opportunity to become better acquainted with Turkmenistan, as well as the rapidly developing Turkmen-Georgian cooperation, which serves to strengthen the friendship and well-being of the two nations.
Merited Journalist of Georgia and professor B.Nachkebia, highlighted the significance of the neutrality policy implemented by the President of Turkmenistan, which contributes to strengthening global peace and developing friendly, brotherly relations between peoples.
