On October 3, 2016 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was the meeting with the Assistant Secretary-General of the UN for Humanitarian Partnerships with the Middle East and Central Asia Mr. Rashid Khalikov.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on issues of the international agenda and noted humanitarian active support of Turkmenistan to the countries of Central Asian region and beyond. Appreciating the neutral foreign policy of Turkmenistan, Mr. Rashid Khalikov expressed interest in further strengthening the partnership. Noting that the humanitarian theme continues to be a priority in the global agenda, the sides noted the positive dynamics of interaction of Turkmenistan and the UN in this direction. Also the issues of further consolidation of efforts through the exchange of experience among experts from the countries and organizations, including the study of various practices of humanitarian assistance were discussed.
Expressing hope for the development of bilateral relations, the sides discussed issues of further cooperation on the basis of partnership by bringing them to a new level.
