On October 24, 2018, there was a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with Ms. Paula Leal Da Silva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Portugal in Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara) who has arrived in Ashgabat to present her credentials.
New Ambassador of Portugal in Turkmenistan has presented the copies of credentials at the beginning of the meeting. Turkmen side has congratulated Ms. Ambassador with appointment to a responsible position and wished her every success in expanding Turkmen-Portuguese cooperation.
The parties have pointed out the necessity of strengthening the bilateral legal base and agreed to consider possibilities of activating relations between business communities and promote investments. The parties have also agreed to draft bilateral agreements in various fields which will lay strong foundations of further relations between the two states.
