On October 25, 2018, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania and Diplomatic Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania jointly organized an event related to presentation of books «Turkmenistan is on the way to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals», «Turkmenistan – the Heart of the Great Silk Road» and «Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan» written by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The representatives of Diplomatic Institute, public organizations of Romania, scholars and Turkmen students studying at the higher educational institutions of Romania have attended the event. Turkmen delegation comprised of the representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and rectors of several higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan have also participated in the presentation.
The speakers have noted that dynamic economic growth process of the country having rich natural resources, impressive manufacturing, human and infrastructural potential was defined in the latest book of the head of the State. National and sectorial programs and large social and economic purpose projects implementation in the context of achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were outlined in the book. It was also emphasized that the foreign policy of Turkmenistan under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan is remarkable for its innovativeness, science-based approach for addressing urgent issues of present days, dynamism and accountability.
The speakers have also underlined that these new books are the evidence that Turkmenistan attaches importance to multidimensional cooperation with the UN, is actively involved in the process of consolidating all efforts to work out common approach for addressing urgent issues such as ensuring peace and security at the regional and global levels.
The Embassy has organized a reception for participants after concluding the event.
