On November 13, 2018, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was a meeting with the Japanese delegation led by Koji Fuji, Director General for the Central Asia and the Caucasus of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the 17th CAREC Ministerial Conference.
During the meeting, the parties noted the importance of training programs in the functioning of JICA, which provide partner countries with the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge based on Japanese experience. The effectiveness of trainings for training specialists in various sectors of the economy and social sphere was emphasized.
In addition, the parties discussed priorities for further development of bilateral cooperation in the areas of agriculture and health, and also exchanged views on the participation of JICA specialists in projects in Turkmenistan.
