On November 8-9, 2019, the 24th session of the Foreign Ministers Council of the Economic Cooperation Organization took place in the Turkish city of Antalya. Turkmenistan was represented at this event by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan V.Hajiyev.
During the session, the participants discussed the current level of cooperation, the work done to implement the ECO Prospects until 2025, as well as made proposals on further strengthening of external economic policy ties on the ECO space and beyond it. The contribution of the Organization in maintaining stability and security in the whole region was noted.
Specifically the issues of activating joint projects in the field of energy, transport, communications, science and industry were considered.
In the framework of participation in the session of the Foreign Ministers Council of ECO, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan made a speech. During the speech, it was noted that the Turkmen side believes, that effective regional economic cooperation in our countries, which is based on the principles of sustainability, interconnectedness and mutual respect, should be a factor of the development of the organization of the region.
