On November 27, 2019, the Turkmen-Bahraini business forum was held in Manama city of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
On the part of Turkmenistan, a representative delegation headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry D.Rejepov and composed of the executives and representatives of state and private organizations and companies functioning in different segments of economy participated to the event.
During his address at the opening of the business forum, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bahrain Sameer Abdulla Ahmed Nass underlined the high level of trade-economic cooperation between the two countries and noted that a vast potential for collaboration exists in such areas as transport, innovative technologies, seaport infrastructure, urban planning and others.
Also in the framework of the forum, the bilateral meetings between the representatives of various agencies and business circles of the two countries took place during which the opportunities of implementing joint projects were discussed. Stating that a considerable level of cooperation between the business circles was already attained, the representatives of a number of Turkmen and Bahraini companies discussed the opportunities for partnership in the field of food and textile industries, finances and tourism.
The participants noted that the current forum is expected to become a successive practical step in the intensification of trade-economic collaboration, determining new vectors and mechanisms for long-term business partnership.
