On April 23, 2020, a meeting on digital video communications with the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan at the level of deputy ministers.
During the meeting, the parties examined the level of trade turnover between the two countries, the progress on increasing exports of products manufactured in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, including textile, silk, oil and gas, chemical industry products, agricultural machines and cars. Partnership between the business circles of the two countries was also discussed.
The importance of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Uzbek Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation was noted. The parties also exchanged views on the implementation of large-scale joint infrastructure projects.
