On March 16, 2017 at the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia there was a presentation dedicated to the major sports event – V Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games, which will be held on September 17-27, 2017 in Ashgabat.
The Conference was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia with the active support of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia and it was attended by the representatives of the ministries and agencies of Georgia, sports federations, public organizations and mass media.
The event started with the demonstration of video on Asian Games. Then Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia D.Muratov, Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia Sh.Gogoladze, Head of the department for sports‘ research and analysis of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs V.Liparteliani and Executive Director of Media holding “Akhali Sakartvelo” B. Nachkebia delivered their speeches.
In his speech Ambassador of Turkmenistan provided detailed information on the Games and acquainted the audience with the ongoing activities in preparing and organizing the Asian Games.
Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia Sh.Gogoladze, in turn, underlined that carrying out such events would contribute to further strengthen friendship and cooperation between the countries, promote sports and healthy life style. He wished the Asian games every success.
Executive Director of Media holding “Akhali Sakartvelo” B.Nachkebia, who participated in the media forum in Ashkhabad in September 2016, in his speech underlined that under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the country is being revealed to the whole world not only as a state with the highly developed economy but as a sporting power as well.
