On February 23, 2022, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey, together with Çalik Holding and Inonu University, organized a presentation ceremony for the book of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov «Ashgabat - The White City» in Turkish and an exhibition in which books of the President of Turkmenistan, photographs, representing our country and national cultural values.
The ceremony was attended by the governor of the Turkish province of Malatya Aydin Barush, the mayor of the city of Malatya Selahattin Gürkan, the rector of the University Inonyu Ahmet Kyzylay, the head of the company "Çalik Holding" Ahmet Chalyk, professors and teachers of the university, Turkish and Turkmen students, heads of public organizations, representatives of Turkish companies and local media.
Also, professors, teachers and students of the International University for the Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan took part in the event via video link.
The event began with the opening of an exhibition of works by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and photographs glorifying our country and national cultural values. The participants of the exhibition were acquainted with the books of the President, as well as looked at photographs glorifying the history, culture and economic development of our country.
Then, at the Turgut Ozal Congress Center of Inonu University, the presentation of the book of the President of Turkmenistan «Ashgabat - The White City» in Turkish began with the anthems of the two countries.
At the beginning of the ceremony, videos were presented showing the achievements, history and culture of our country on the occasion of the announcement of 2022 “The Epoch of the people with Arkadag”.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Turkey noted that the book «Ashgabat - The White City»has become an invaluable gift of our national Leader to the Turkmen people and the world community on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat. He also told the participants about the rich content of this valuable work.
Governor of Malatya A. Barush and Mayor S. Gürkan noted in their speeches that they are proud of the development of fraternal relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey. They also express their sincere gratitude to the faculty and students of the International University for the Humanities and Development for their participation in the ceremony via videoconference.
Speaking at the ceremony, the head of Çalik Holding, A. Chalyk, stressed that he was very pleased that the work praising the capital Ashgabat was published in Turkish. Thanks to this book by the Turkmen leader, the beauty of Ashgabat, the center of friendship and goodwill, will be popular in Turkey and around the world.
In his speech, the rector of the University Inonyu A. Kyzylay spoke about the long-standing fraternal relations and the history of Turkmenistan and Turkey.
At the end of the ceremony, a memorable photo was taken with the participants of the presentation. Information about the event was widely covered in the local press.
