On November 3, 2017 the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia jointly with the Yerevan State University held a presentation of the new book of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Turkmenistan - the heart of the Great Silk Road".
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Armenia and diplomats, the stuff of the Yerevan State University and students, including students from Turkmenistan, representatives of scientific circles, as well as mass media attended the ceremony.
It has been noted that the new book of the President of Turkmenistan "Turkmenistan - the heart of the Great Silk Road", reflects the concept of modern development of Turkmenistan based on historical experience, traditions of peacemaking and good-neighborliness, honoring the spiritual heritage the Turkmen people, their aspiration to regional and global integration and progress. The main idea of the book is a comprehension of the initiative and constructive position of neutral Turkmenistan in the international arena through the prism of its historical path. The multidimensional analysis of the Great Silk Road, which played an important role in the development of economic, diplomatic, scientific and cultural ties between the East and the West, justifies the role of Turkmenistan occupying favorable geopolitical position in the integration processes of our time.
Throughout the presentation, it was also noted that in this book the Leader of the nation has collected legends, glorifying the great Turkmen history. The legends and events, in which the history of the Great Silk Road comes to life, make it possible to assess the Past from the point of view of the present time. The book describes the early examples of those modern projects that are being implemented in Turkmenistan today and influence the harmonious development of the global logistics system.
During the event the significance of the new book of the Turkmen Leader published in three languages was highlighted, and noted that it is aimed to popularize the spiritual, historical and cultural components of the phenomenon of the Great Silk Road.
