On June 28, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen Committee for Economic Cooperation Hiroyuki Tsubai and Executive Director, General Manager of Plant Engineering Business Division of “Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.” Kenji Sanada at the MFA of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the sides highly appraised Turkmenistan’s long-standing cooperation with Japanese companies in such areas as oil and gas, as well as gas chemical industry, transport, agriculture, electric power, ecology and others.
The importance of the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen Committees on Economic Cooperation was highlighted.
The participants of the meeting discussed the implementation of the current joint projects and exchanged views on the prospects for future vectors of cooperation.
