The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Djibouti discussed bilateral cooperation by telephone

On 12 November 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.

During the talks, the parties emphasised the importance of further expanding political-diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.

The ministers highly appreciated the current level of cooperation between the two countries within international organisations, primarily the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, emphasising their common views on issues of strengthening peace and sustainable development.

The parties also exchanged views on preparations for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in December 2025.
