On December 10, 2025, a meeting was held at the MFA of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Gurbanov and the President and Founder of the organization “Peace and Sport,” Advisor to Prince Albert II of Monaco, Mr. Joël Bouzou, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in events dedicated to International Neutrality Day, the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent Neutrality, and the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a broad agenda for humanitarian cooperation based on the traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Principality of Monaco. The positive dynamics of interaction between Turkmenistan and the "Peace and Sport" organization were noted.
Particular attention was paid to the development of cooperation in promoting the ideals of peace, trust, and strengthening international ties through sport.
The interlocutors also considered the issue of holding a continental forum “Peace and Sport” in Turkmenistan in 2026, proposed by the organization of the same name.
