

On December 11, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Nyo Saw, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in large-scale events held in Turkmenistan.
Having warmly welcomed and thanked the distinguished guest for accepting the invitation to participate in the International Forum on the occasion of the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Day of Neutrality and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the head of state noted the significance of the Prime Minister of Myanmar's current visit to Turkmenistan to participate in this representative Forum.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality, the head of government of the friendly state emphasized that Turkmenistan's policy of neutrality is an example for the entire world, and the current International Forum, aimed at strengthening global peace and trust, is a clear example of this. Expressing confidence that its results will greatly contribute to the advancement of friendly relations in the region and globally, Prime Minister Nyo Saw congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the entire Turkmen people on International Neutrality Day and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
Thanking for the kind words, the head of state noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to developing relations with states in the Asia-Pacific region. He also emphasized the extensive opportunities for expanding partnership with Myanmar in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also emphasized that Turkmenistan advocates for active cooperation not only bilaterally, but also within authoritative international organizations, primarily the United Nations.
The head of state also noted that during the current visit, the Myanmar Prime Minister will have the opportunity to become familiar with Turkmenistan's economic potential, production, and export capabilities. In this regard, the Turkmen side reaffirmed its readiness to establish bilateral cooperation in various areas and to support the friendly country's specific proposals for establishing a mutually beneficial partnership.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Nyo Saw wished each other good health, prosperity, and success in their responsible government duties.
