On December 16, 2025, a ceremony for the presentation of the Certificate confirming the inclusion of the national nomination «The Art of breeding the Turkmen alabay» in UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity was held at the Center of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding and the International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri».
Participants of the celebration familiarized themselves with an exhibition displayed in the foyer of the Center of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding and the International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri».
The exhibition gave pride of place to national values, information on the history of the faithful Alabays, as well as remarkable works authored by the Hero-Arkadag and President of Turkmenistan, glorifying the exemplary traditions of our people. The exhibition also featured works artistically depicting the courage of Turkmen Alabays in fine and decorative-applied arts, carpet products, and photographic materials.
Afterwards, the ceremony for the presentation of the Certificate on the inclusion of the national nomination «The Art of breeding the Turkmen alabay» in UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity began at the Center.
During the event dedicated to this landmark occasion, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan T.Atahallyev delivered a speech, expressing, on behalf of the ceremony participants, gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the Hero-Arkadag for the state-level measures taken to promote the recognition of national values by authoritative international organizations.
During the ceremony, special emphasis was placed on the significance of the congratulatory message addressed by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag to the esteemed President on behalf of the Turkmen people and the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, on the occasion of the inclusion of the national nomination The Art of breeding the Turkmen alabay» in UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Following the speeches, the participants of the event adopted an Address to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The ceremony then continued at the Ashgabat Equestrian Complex. In honor of the landmark event, a showcase of the country’s renowned Alabays and the winners of the International Competition “Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy” was held in the open arena. The event was accompanied by song and musical performances.
