Present matters of Turkmen-Pakistani relations were discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

On 7 January 2026, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Turkmenistan Faryal Leghari.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues in the context of further implementation of joint measures to promote bilateral relations in the new year.

Particular emphasis was placed on holding the next, sixth meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, political consultations at the level of the heads of foreign ministries of two countries, as well as the Turkmen-Pakistani Business Forum.

The sides also discussed issues related to preparations for visits at the highest state level planned for the current year.

In addition, a list of bilateral documents planned to be signed during the present year was reviewed.
