

On February 10, 2026, a ceremony was held at the King Palace of the Kingdom of Thailand (Amphorn Royal Palace) in Bangkok, during which the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Thailand (with residence in Kuala Lumpur), M.Mashalov, presented his credentials to the King of the Kingdom of Thailand, His Majesty Maha Wajiralongkorn.
On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Ambassador conveyed to His Majesty the King of Thailand warm greetings and best wishes.
The King of Thailand congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to this responsible position and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. His Majesty also expressed his desire to visit Turkmenistan in the future.
During the meeting, Turkmenistan’s interest in further developing cooperation with the Kingdom of Thailand in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres was reaffirmed.
Following the ceremony of presentation of credentials, a meeting was held between the newly appointed Ambassadors and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow. During the conversation, the Thailand Foreign Minister expressed readiness to provide assistance and support in the implementation of the Ambassador’s diplomatic activities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides agreed to maintain regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries with a view to further strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Thailand.
