On August 27, 2018, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Turkmenistan (residing in Ankara) Mr. Ebrahim Yusuf Al-Abdullah, who arrived in Ashgabat to present his credentials.
After congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible post at the beginning of the meeting, Turkmen side noted that it is necessary to develop fruitful dialogue on a mutually beneficial basis taking into account the interests of both states.
The Ambassador of Bahrain noted the role and importance of Turkmenistan's neutral foreign policy touching upon the issues of political cooperation, as well as its relevance in ensuring security and sustainable development in the region and in the world. The importance of organizing meetings at the top level to bring the relationship to a new level was stated.
When trade and economic cooperation was discussed, the parties also noted the need to activate cooperation and expressed interest in strengthening cooperation in of culture and humanitarian field.
