On September 3, 2025, in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Italy T.Komekov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign affairs and international cooperation of the Italian Republic E.Cirielli.
During the meeting, further steps were considered to strengthen bilateral cooperation within the framework of international organizations and deepen relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and scientific-cultural spheres, in particular, holding various events with the participation of heads of relevant departments and organizing cultural events.
Particular attention was paid to the organization in the Capitoline Museum of Rome of an exhibition of unique artifacts discovered in the territory of ancient Margiana and Nisa, including valuable findings made by joint Turkmen-Italian archaeological expeditions.
Also during the meeting, issues of organizing the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic this year were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged best wishes for peace and prosperity for the peoples of Turkmenistan and Italy, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
