On September 27, 2025, a light projection of the national flag of Turkmenistan took place in Azadi Square in Tehran. The iconic building in the Iranian capital was illuminated in the colors of the national flag, and during the projection, the national anthem and the song of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, "Oňe, öňe, diňe öňe, jan Watanym Türkmenistan" were played.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran in honor of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
Representatives of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Tehran Mayor's Office, local institutions, and residents of the country attended the event.

On the same day, Ankara's tallest buildings, the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, were painted in the colors of the Turkmen national flag in honor of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
The spectacular illumination transformed the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye into a radiant red and green flag featuring Turkmen patterns and a crescent moon with five stars. At 140 meters tall, the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye is one of the tallest buildings in Ankara and the business center of the Republic of Türkiye.
This gesture is a symbol of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries.
