Cooperation in the field of equestrian sports was discussed

On 22 January 2026, a meeting took place between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Muhammetgeldi Ayazov, and the Executive Manager of Saudi Equestrian Federation, Fuad bin Fahad Ibrahim.

During the meeting, Fuad bin Fahad Ibrahim spoke in detail about the work of the Federation. Ambassador M. Ayazov informed about declaration of 2026 as the year of «Independent permanently neutral Turkmenistan–homeland of purposeful heavenly horses».

At the same time Ambassador noted that great attention is paid to the development of the horse breeding industry in Turkmenistan, the implementation of the tasks of increasing the number of Ahalteke horses, and raising the prestige of Turkmen horses in the world.

During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat discussed the issues of establishing cooperation with Saudi Equestrian Federation.
