

On January 22, 2026, high-level consultations in the «Central Asia–Russia» format were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the implementation of the Central Asia–Russia Joint Action Plan for 2025–2027.
In his speech, the head of the Turkmen delegation, Ambassador of Turkmenistan E. Aydogdyev noted the importance of the practical implementation of the initiatives announced by President of Turkmenistan S. Berdimuhamedov at the Second Summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Russian Federation in Dushanbe last October.
Turkmenistan’s support for ideas and proposals aimed at strengthening stability, trust, and mutually beneficial cooperation was particularly emphasized, given the importance of their practical focus, equality, and consideration of the national interests of the participants.
The parties discussed possible ways to implement the results of the Second Summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Russian Federation, including through consultations between relevant ministries and other government organizations of the six states.
