On February 13, 2026, an event dedicated to Turkmenistan’s 2026 motto — “Independent neutral Turkmenistan is the homeland of purposeful winged horses” — was held at the Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages in Almaty.
The event was attended by the university’s leadership, faculty members, as well as Turkmen and Kazakh students. Participants noted that Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are united by centuries-old traditions of good neighborliness, mutual respect, and cultural and historical commonality, which serve as a solid foundation for the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Special attention was given to the development of bilateral relations, which over the years of diplomatic engagement have reached the level of a genuine strategic partnership encompassing political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
As part of the event, the book by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, “Neutrality of Turkmenistan – A Bright Way of Peace and Trust” was presented. The book reveals the philosophy of positive neutrality as an important instrument for strengthening international peace, stability, and trust.
The event was accompanied by a cultural program featuring national music, songs, and dances, including “Bilezik” and “Kushdepdi,” which vividly reflected the spiritual heritage of the Turkmen people.
Summing up the event, participants emphasized that the 2026 motto symbolizes independence, internationally recognized neutrality, and Turkmenistan’s aspiration for further development and open dialogue with the global community.
