Meeting between the Consul General of Turkmenistan with the Governor of Istanbul

On March 11, 2026, a meeting was held between Ovezgeldi Jumanazarov, Consul General of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Türkiye, and Davut Gül, Governor of Istanbul, at the Istanbul Governorate building.

During the meeting, it was noted that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye is consistently developing in the trade and economic, cultural, scientific and educational, healthcare, and sports spheres.

The sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral interaction based on the principles of friendship, mutual respect and mutually beneficial partnership.

The parties also exchanged views on preparations for events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, as well as activities organized within the framework of the 2026 motto: “Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan – homeland of purposeful heavenly horses”.
