On November 19, 2019, in the building of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Minsk, a regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries of the CIS member states to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth took place.
At the end of the Council meeting, on the initiative of the Turkmen side, a round table was held on the adoption at the meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of the CIS in Ashgabat on October 11 this year of the Declaration on Strategic Economic Cooperation of the CIS Member States, introduced at the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan.
The event, held in the building of the CIS Executive Committee, was attended by Ambassadors, Permanent Plenipotentiaries of the CIS Member States to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth, the leadership of the CIS Executive Committee, leading specialists of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics, as well as Turkmen students studying in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus.
During the round table, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus N. Shagulyev delivered a speech to the participants on the essence of the Declaration adopted by the Heads of CIS countries. Also, the Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee-Executive Secretary S.N. Lebedev and the Permanent Representatives of the CIS countries spoke.
In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of the signing by the heads of all states participating in the Council meeting of the Ashgabat Declaration on Strategic Economic Cooperation of the CIS Member States, initiated by the President of Turkmenistan and developed jointly by the CIS member states.
