On February 17-18, 2020 Minister of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of his working visit to the Russian Federation.
During the visit, negotiations were held with the President of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov. The parties exchanged views on further expanding bilateral cooperation, including enhancing cooperation in the field of construction and industry. During the meeting, it was noted that due to positive contacts between the President of Turkmenistan and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, as well as mutual interest in the further development of a full-fledged partnership, effective relations were established between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan, covering a wide range of mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation. Tatarstan is a reliable partner for Turkmenistan in all areas of cooperation, including in the field of economy and industrial development.
A round table was held with the participation of the delegation of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the ministries and large enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan. Then, the Turkmen delegation led by Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited large industrial and scientific-production enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan.
During bilateral negotiations with the heads of relevant ministries and leading construction and industrial companies of Tatarstan, topical aspects of diversification of cooperation were discussed, primarily issues of introducing advanced technologies, improving industry and digitalizing the economy.
Following the visit of the Minister of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Tatarstan, a number of bilateral documents were signed with large scientific and construction-industrial companies of Tatarstan, covering cooperation in a wide range of areas.
