On May 12, 2022, the President of Turkmenistan received the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbaev, who arrived in Turkmenistan at the head of the delegation of his country to participate in the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the States of Central Asia and the Russian Federation.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the time spent, the guest conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Head of state, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and noted that his country rejoices at the successes and achievements of brotherly Turkmenistan on the path of fundamental transformations, which are the result of a steadily pursued progressive peacekeeping policy .
Thanking for the kind words and conveying best wishes in return to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the people of a friendly country, the head of Turkmenistan stressed that our peoples are bound by centuries-old ties of friendship, brotherhood and good neighborly relations, which underlie cooperation in a new historical era.
During the meeting, the Head of state and his guest discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, including in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields, stating the high level of interstate dialogue achieved in recent years and the great potential and opportunities for further intensification of partnership in a wide range of areas.
At the end of the meeting, once again exchanging good wishes, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and his guest expressed their firm confidence that the high level of mutual understanding and trust between our countries would continue to serve as a solid basis for building up interstate partnership, which meets the long-term interests of the two peoples, united by a common historical and cultural ties.
