Ambassador of Japan presented copies of his credentials

On August 28, 2016 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs there was a meeting with Mr. Takahiko Katsumata, who presented the copies of his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan.

After mutual greetings, the sides noted the dynamic nature of the relations and expressed their commitment to further strengthening of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan in areas of mutual interest. Noting the high level of political dialogue, the parties discussed the issues of diversification of relations in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. It was noted the role of the practical implementation of the joint projects for the revitalization of the Turkmen-Japanese partnership. The sides gave a brief analysis of the current state of relations in the fields of education and sports, and expressed interest in their further development.

Welcoming Mr. Takahiko Katsumata as the Ambassador of Japan in Turkmenistan, the Turkmen side wished him success in his new endeavors. In his turn, Ambassador of Japan in Turkmenistan noted the importance of expanding cooperation between the two countries in various areas and assured that, for his part, he will fully contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations in various fields of cooperation.
