On December 5, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Ms. Kaja Kallas.
The High Representative of the EU extended congratulations to the Turkmen side on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality, emphasizing the importance of the country’s neutral foreign policy course, which contributes to global peace and development.
Highly appreciating the level of development of the multifaceted dialogue between Turkmenistan and the European Union, the sides discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda. The importance of existing cooperation mechanisms in the EU–Turkmenistan Joint Committee format was noted.
Special attention was given to the International Forum of Peace and Trust, which will be held on December 12 this year in Ashgabat.
