On December 11, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in large-scale festive celebrations.
Warmly welcoming the leader of the Kyrgyz Republic, the head of state thanked him for accepting the invitation to participate in the International Forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Neutrality Day, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, Kyrgyzstan's participation in the Forum at the highest government level is regarded as a manifestation of the greatest respect for our country's policy of positive neutrality.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality, President Sadyr Japarov emphasized the significant importance of the upcoming International Forum in strengthening peace and sustainable development regionally and globally. Taking the opportunity, the distinguished guest warmly congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. Thanking for the kind words, the head of state noted that the International Year of Peace and Trust is marked by two anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and the 30th anniversary of the recognition of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
During an exchange of views on the current state of bilateral trade and economic partnership, the parties noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of mutual trade turnover and the existence of significant opportunities for its expansion.
At the end of the meeting, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov exchanged best wishes, expressing confidence in the continued successful development of interstate dialogue based on the principles of mutual respect and trust.
