On April 20, 2018 the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Federal Republic of Germany in Frankfurt on Main organized sports event, dedicated to the month of mass sports, athletic, social and cultural events under the motto "Health and happiness". The event included such sports competitions as mini-football, table tennis and checkers.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps, international banks, companies, as well as Turkmen students studying in Germany took part in these sports competitions.
During the opening ceremony, the Consul of Turkmenistan briefed the participants about the main directions of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy. In particular, it was underlined the significance of Turkmenistan's foreign policy for the development of the Great Silk Road, which is aimed at creating a better future for all mankind.
The participants of the event expressed their gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his efforts to strengthen peace, security, friendly relations and the growth of sports.
Competitions were held in a friendly atmosphere and their winners were awarded the Great Silk Road Cup and honorary certificates. At the end of the competition, participants and guests were offered dishes of Turkmen national cuisine.
