On December 29, 2021, a consultation meeting of experts from the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention was held in the format of a videoconference.
This meeting was organized in order to establish a constructive dialogue and deepen effective interaction with reputable foreign institutions to study the characteristics of new strains of coronavirus infection.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of the international agenda in the field of healthcare, cooperation on measures to prevent and combat COVID-19, in particular to prevent their penetration into the country.
The meeting participants noted the need to strengthen cooperation in this direction and confirmed their readiness for further exchange of experience in combating and preventing infectious diseases.
