On February 25th 2019, a telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
Focusing on the high level of the traditional interstate dialogue based on the inviolable ties of friendship between the two fraternal peoples, the parties discussed the implementation of the reached bilateral agreements and the possibility of further diversification of mutually beneficial ties.
The interlocutors have underlined that Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia have achieved qualitatively new level of cooperation. The President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia exchanged their views on the possibilities for the further development of the bilateral partnership given the existing multi-faceted potential. It was noted that the solid legislative and regulatory framework that covers a wide spectrum of areas provided a reliable platform to enhance the mutually beneficial Turkmen-Armenian relations. The Intergovernmental commission plays a significant role in implementing the achieved agreements, diversifying and enhancing the fruitful cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, strengthening the business relations and promoting the investment activity.
At the same time, the important role of interaction in the humanitarian and cultural field, which is an essential factor in strengthening the bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries, was emphasized.
At the end of the telephone conversation, the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia expressed confidence that the traditionally friendly interstate relations would strengthen and develop successfully, wishing each other and fraternal peoples well-being and prosperity.
