On the 11th of August 2019, the events in the scope of the First Caspian Economic Forum have started in the city of Turkmenbashi. The agenda is highly occupied.
In the first half of the day, the guests who have arrived to attend the Forum participated to the International Caspian Exhibition of Innovative Technologies and “Turkmen Sahra-2019” Exposition where they got acquainted with the achievements of modern technology and automobile industry. The venue of this event was the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi city which is a modern seaside infrastructure.
At the same day, a meeting of the ministers of economy of the Caspian littoral states took place in the hotel “Berkarar.” The high level participants of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Russia reflected on the issues of cooperation between the countries, particularly related to the improvement of trade turnover, development of free trade zones, strengthening of legal basis, etc.
Simultaneously, a meeting of the ministers of transport of the Caspian littoral states was hosted. The participants of the session discussed the opportunities for the expansion of international freight movements, increase of export potential, diversification of transit cargo routes to the markets of other regions.
During the above said sessions, a meeting of the representatives of the business circles of the Caspian littoral states also took place. The participants of the session viewed the opportunities of import and export, exchanged experience in the field of processing oil and gas resources, as well as mentioned the significance of the Caspian Sea in terms of regional economic integration. Upon the outcomes of the talks, a number of documents was signed and then a briefing was held for the representatives of the mass media.
Also the exchange trading was organized during the day, the outcomes of which were announced in the evening.
