On December 10, 2018, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was a meeting with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia in Turkmenistan Garnic Aleksandrovich Badalyan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador of Armenia presented copies of his credentials. Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible post, the Turkmen side expressed its readiness to render all possible assistance and support to him in strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, speaking about the trustful relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia, the parties noted the intention to increase all-round cooperation and readiness for joint work on their further activation. Discussing the trade and economic cooperation bloc, the sides noted the need to expand the legal framework between the two countries and agreed to consider the possibilities for intensifying contacts between the business structures of the two countries.
The sides also expressed mutual interest in developing relations in the fields of culture and sports, as well as expanding cooperation in the health sector.
