On 27 December 2018, a telephone conversation was held between the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
In the beginning of the conversation, the Heads of the two states heartily congratulated each other on upcoming New Year and wished all the best and prosperity to Turkmen and Kyrgyz people.
Then the Heads of the states went onto discussion of the issues related to the development of Turkmen-Kyrgyz relations. They touched upon the issues on the development of the bilateral cooperation in commercial, economical, scientific-technical and humanitarian spheres.
Moreover, during the phone negotiations, there was an exchange of opinions on regional and international topical issues that represent mutual interest. The priorities for constructive interaction within the major international organizations were also noted, primarily such as the UN and the CIS.
